Pilates is bloody hard work! Am enjoying it tho, feels good getting all stretched out.

Plus its on late enough that I have enough time to ride first, I even had time to sit down and catch my breath in between the 2 this evening.

Ziggy is coming on well, getting slowly fitter and very slowly losing weight. Of course now she's feeling fitter the battles of wills are starting again. Tuesday was a nightmare, nothing went right and we both ended up tired and pissed off.

Tonight on the other hand (possibly cos I wasn't so rushed) was much MUCH better and we even got our first (v. short) canter. She's still very unbalanced but it felt so good!

Taking tomorrow off work, so if it stays dry enough we'll go for a run about the back field so we don't have to worry about turning corners.

In summary, a good evening all round - and a lie in tomorrow! Hurrah ;)

Hard work? Isn't Pilates just watered down yoga?

It's very similar to yoga, but then yoga can be hard work too ;p

Of course it's no aerobics class but you do work up a sweat. Somehow.
Mind you I'm not that fit these days so that might explain it.

Pfft, what kind of magic is this that you reply so calmy? I must seek out the power of this Pilates and harness it for my own evil purposes.

The magic of an early start, work, and hours riding THEN pilates.

Pilates with a lovely very yoga-esque relaxy bit at the end...
