Only took me an hour to get home after all, which wasn't SO bad, possibly because I left before 5. Watching the news now, traffic is being held to a standstill AGAIN by lines of grannies, who obviously have nothing better to do with their time, just standing in the middle of the road.

Where are the water canons when you need them eh?
Half the buses in the city are stopping at 6.30, sux2bu if you actually have to work and not sit about on your arse at home til its time to go out and riot.

Bizarrely the UDA are calling for end to violence where the politicians and Orange Order, who started the whole fucking mess, aren't.

Jesus, Michael fucking Stone is now on talking SENSE. Wtf? He looks oddly like a folk singer without the big hair. A very scary folk singer, but still... its getting almost surreal.

Nigel Dodds is on ranting about the new US envoy who had the NERVE to critisize the unionist leadership for encouraging this and not doing enough to stop it. Why is it so many of these guys, particularly the DUP, come off like kids having a tantrum any time they're accused of anything or told off?
Mommy the new teacher was MEAN, he shouted at me!!

Bah I am going to stop watching the news now and try to get over to the stables. Usually its a 5 min drive; last night it took 45. Hopefully tonight won't be quite so bad as the grannies will have to go home and cook a good tea for the kids. Can't go rioting on an empty stomach after all!
