Happy New Year!

Hope you all had a lovely new year's eve. Cousin's wedding was much fun, saw lots of family I haven't seen in too long, drank lots, attempted some ceili dancing - which is always so much more fun done with loads of drunk people who haven't a clue - and generally had a ball. Will post some photos at some point.

I was going to write big long insightful post (I had what I'm sure was quite a wonderful one written in my head just before I finally got to sleep last night) but I am too knackered and brain dead now to bother ;p

No real resolutions to speak of (because generally they're quite pointless), except for one shamelessly stolen from malvino, which is to start writing letters again, because I miss doing it and I miss getting letters even more.

I am off to lie on the sofa and see how that lovely bottle of champagne thesme_01 bought works as hair of the dog.

Update... the champagne works very nicely indeed as hair of the dog. VERY nicely :)

i want to get fitter by the time i go to russia etc on the Big Damn Holiday. i am calling this the 'i wish to have muscles again but without having to go back into the field with the mud and the cold' resolution.

our russian teacher explained that if you were expiring, and the doctor could do no more, they would give you champagne. because, you know, you might as well! sensible people, russians (at least, the ones not met on the internet, ahem, hellison!)
