i don't exactly miss him - well, i mean, i do, but i also have unhealthy levels of love for ray k and his sexy loser geek self. unhealthy levels. (see my recent lj entries for proof!). i swing both rays, as they say. *g*
S3 & 4 are a lot more focused on the ray/fraser partnership dynamic, i think. stuffs slashy bias under cushion out of sight. but there's still some good other-characters stuff: have you seen 'a likely story'? with the hypnotism? i love thatcher and frannie so much in that one.
