Still bored. About to go to bank with pay cheque and have an urge to spend money on something totally pointless, possibly an mp3 player thingy.
I know very little about these creatures and yet I want one (possibly to relieve some work boredom).

Can't really buy any more books or dvds, because the queue of Unread/unwatched is getting too long to add to. Will have to be careful in the tack shop later, must NOT buy new horse stuff.

Any suggestions?

ETA I decided that, since the place I mostly listen to music is in the car, the mp3 thing can wait. So I bought a DS instead. A blue one! With PUPPIES OMG.

Also, peering at the sale in Sony, I very sensibly decided buying a new camera would be silly if they could just fix the old one. So I asked how much. £52 in labour + £40 'booking fee'. So thats AT LEAST £92 quid to fix a camera that only cost about £130 2 years ago.
The newer, smaller, more pixelly, all round better ones now cost about that. Hmm.

Go to Debenhams and buy knickers.
I want an iPod but I know I will never use it because my laptop is crap
In fact, I want a new laptop.

I'm so bored I think I am just about to go insane. PS: MASSIVE hail shower in Ballymena. That's how bored I am.

See thats the thing, i want it, but will i ever use it? I don't know ;p

I just have this lovely disposable income and I am itching to dispose of some of it (of course SENSIBLY i would pay off the visa bill or something, but then I wouldn't have a Shiny New Thing to gloat over later...)

Get a DS! It's not all sad boys playing Mario Kart at pub outings ;p

I would like an MP3 player that I can use as an external HDD for storing all my music on and listening to anywhere, but I haven't found one yet with all the features that I want (drag-and-drop transfer, MP3/OGG playback, no propietary programs to waste computer resources).

I'm buying... a bottle of milk... on the way home. For Trauma.

I was going to suggest that, but I figured it was too geeky :)

Tales of Phantasia!

Hmm. The GAME shop place is right opposite the bank too. Well, nearly ...

I really should attempt this whole computer game lark at some point ;p

Give your lovely disposable income to me and I will wash my hair in gold leaf, and send a lock of it to you, thus giving you a New Shiny Thing to gloat over.

What sort of games do you like?

[identity profile] being-here.livejournal.com 2006-04-07 08:03 am (UTC)(link)
I love my iPod. mmm. Shiny.

I've just ordered (then saved for later) £150 worth of books on Amazon. Damn the new boiler! Why can't I just spend money?

I love my mp3 player.
.
It's a "Toshiba Gigabeat" (they make the HDD's inside iPods) and 40GB for significantly less monies than the 30GB iPods, and pretty sexy itself (it does photos with a shiny colour screen, but not videos).

I also second the Nintendo DS suggestion, it is an excellent toy - if you get it, I recommend Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney particularly :D

I've not needed to replace my old creative jukebox-beast for a long time - it's very practical for in car listening.

For listening elsewhere it's too big, but like I say it's lasted ages.

I'd recommend a creative zen over an ipod - they always seem to be a spot above tech wise :)
