Given than, appparently from lunchtime til... september or something it's going to rain again non-stop, it's not really WRONG to take the morning off to cut the grass is it?

I still have the cold (and I slept in anyway ;p)!

I'm SURE it can't rain constantly till then, but as a precautionary measure I think you are definitely doing the right thing!

Technically? Not really. I think I'm too optimistic to be from this Island AT ALL actually....

Bah it started raining HALF WAY THRO! Actually the problem isn't so much constant rain, more that it never stops *long enough* for the grass to be dry enough to cut.

But I Persevered and it is Done. And I am damp :/

Why thank you! Now if only it would stay dry for ONE EVENING so I could get on with reclaiming flowerbeds and planting pretty seeds and stuff, I'd be happy!

See it has stopped raining now, but it's cold and I don't fancy kneeling on damp ground pulling out wet weeds and prolonging this feckin' cold yet further *sniffles*

Sob. Same happened to me yesterday. Took me from 10:30 am to approx 7:30 pm to cut about 2 hours' worth of grass. Fuckin' rain. And it's always wet or raining at the weekend when I'm around :( and the grass is 3 feet long by the time I get to it.

It usually only takes me about 20 mins to cut the grass. Today ? AGES because it was still so wet and long it kept clogging up the blades so I had to keep stopping and clearing them, then it rained again and... bah.

Will it EVER stop? Even just one day without rain would be nice. Just one.

Today was without rain. So of course, I was in work.

Not only that, but when I arrived home at 7pm with an hour or two of sunlight left, and lots of motivation, I had a lovely lady from the Central Statistics Office waiting for me on the doorstep for a lengthy survey.

She'd warned me, apparently. By posting a leaflet this afternoon at 3pm.

Also, she tried setting me up with her 28 year old daughter. Apparently I'm a good catch.
