As requested by [livejournal.com profile] _unhurt_, the weekend in detail now that I have had just about enough sleep to be coherent ;p

Friday - lovely bottle of cava, on the mud, vaguely stabbing stuff while discussing corporate identity, the joyes of management speak and bridges with Ukko (this was a lot more interesting than it sounds) til Late, while totally failing to do any packing or otherwise for Tentmeet.

Saturday wake up lunchtime ish (oops) Start packing stuff and finally head off 3ish, while pondering the wisdom of going camping in what appears to be a gale, complete with lashing rain.
Arrive at [livejournal.com profile] tiquetoque's without getting lost (go me!). Put tent up in rain and wind. Discover living room has been declared a tent, yay!
Say HELLO to everyone, get cider and settle down to watch Interesting Films on how to survive nuclear bombs. Doors, emergency toilet buckets and corpse-trenches seem to be the key. But Nobody Warns the Birds :/
'Persuaded' Tique to let us watch Dr Who. Hmm. Has everyone seen it yet?
Will not comment in detail, but I liked it very much and managed not to cry. Well. Maybe sniffle slightly...

Then there was drinking, with added cocktails and Monty Python. The dvd player kept breaking, despite use of the CD/DVDrom cleaning disc *stares*, and got put in the freezer to Think About What It Had done, so there was Singing. With great passion, gusto and in some cases, aggression (WHISTLING WHISTLING DARK DARK DARK DARK), if not so much actual tune ;p
Then it gets vague; mixing vodka into Pimms does seem to make it a bit stronger. Especially when there is also cider inside your insides!
There was Charlie and the Chocolate Factory when the ceedeedeeveedeerom player recovered, then Billy Connolly. Then it was daylight and the rain had stopped and it was

Sunday Which initially consisted largely of periods of attempting to sleep away the hangover interspersed with the Longest Tennis Match Ever, and Cody Battering.
There *would* have been Thipe-Kicking too, but he was Half An Inch too far away, which is very frustrating when you are too hungover to move.
Eventually the dvd player recovered enough to play the dvd cleaning disc and Enjoy the Quality Music. In ALL NINE LANGUAGES (saydaydayvayday disc) *stares*.
Then we waved Farewell to [livejournal.com profile] thipe and had chips. But the bus for Thipe did not show, so we went to get him again and deliver him unto the airport, thus missing most of the football (very well planned I thought).
After football, Tique rescinded the living room's tent status so we went outside to have a bonfire and drink a little bit. There was more singing - some of it really very good indeed - and more wood jokes than you could shake a stick at. Tho of course sticks were shaken, in some cases vigourously and, in one case, almost setting fire to the sheep field.
Then there were hot bushes with very impressive WHOOOMPH that made us all run away then run back then run away, repeatedly. Fire Pretty.
We broke Erianthe with the cider (well it does make good lubricant) and Tique with lesbian sex and eventually, after much innuendo (in YOUR endo) and Single Entendres, being a Very Sensible Girl, I decided that I should go to bed because it was 3am and I had to get up and drive to work in 3.5 hours time. And all the Pimms was gone.

Monday! Driving home was... challenging ;p Started off fine, got Vashti and Gaelen to the bus station etc, but was seriously flagging by the time I got to Dundalk, stopped off in Newry for tea and hash browns in Mc.Ds (desperate times call for desperate measures), which just about got me home. Went for a 'short nap', fully intending to get up and go to work by lunchtime, but was FOILED by not waking up again til half 3. So technically I could just have gone back to Tique's after the bus station dropping off and slept there. Which would have been a much more sensible thing to do really.

Was still pottering about in pjs and slippers when [livejournal.com profile] dreammonkey and [livejournal.com profile] tohya_the_witch arrived.
Eventually managed to get dressed and took them on a whirlwind tour of the Murals of West Belfast, with added trip down the Shankill, Massive Bonfires and ended up at the Giant's Ring. Then we got take away, nattered and collapsed.

Hmm. That ended up longer than intended. Perhaps I should have just used the Cody Story Version.
All in all a Damn Fine Weekend, again huge thanks to TIQUE for hosting, particularly for letting us in out of the rain and giving me a proper bed sunday night. Well, Monday morning really... And yay for everyone who was there! Much Yay all round! Next year I may even make it there on time.

Oh and PICS PLZ!
