Happy Death Day!
Nov. 27th, 2003 02:12 pmWell, ok, it was actually yesterday, but I didn't get a chance to post then! WTF is the point of all this anniversary shite for dead people anyway? Its not like they're extra specially MORE DEAD just because its been a year.
Apart from the fact taht they're a day more dead than they were yesterday or whatever. And Thesme's mum could have demonstrated aptly just how much more dead too. If she wasn't dead herself that is.
Actually the day went better than expected, much like a normal day, other than a bit of extra hard 'fighting back the Bad Thoughts'. Getting stuck behind a funeral on the way to work was just a sick joke of Fate tho. That was mean. The day before was worse for some reason - perhaps to prove that the stupid anniversary thing is meaningless other than to draw even more attention to things you're hardly likely to forget anyway.
But a bottle of expensive champagne, a spliff or two and some junk food sorted that one out. If I have to be misearable, I'm going to bloody well enjoy myself while i'm at it god damnit!
In fact yesterday ended quite well - the guy who's horse I ride twice a week said he might loan her to me full time after christmas, which would be brilliant as she is wonderful to ride and I get on really well with her. I even jumped almost properly for the first time in months!
So there you go. Horse Extravaganzas tonight and tomorrow afternoon, then drinking all weekend, hurrah!
