Achy Breaky Face

Tho I guess nothing much happened last week.
This weekend was an adventure tho - off to Harrogate for my mate Verner's housewarming. Flew over Friday evening with a couple of his other mates from here and had quite a pleasant night getting pissed outside the pub near his Gf's house, then more drink back at the house.
Sat., v. hungover, spent most of the day lying about with a break to go out for lunch, then headed over to the new house for 6ish. Promptly chucked out again because V. still had to hoover (he is THE most anal man about cleaning I have ever met).
Had a pint or 2, came back and said I'd take some photos for his mum, when DISASTER struck, in the form of me tripping over a step and striking the floor. Of course I had my camera in my hand so I couldn't save myself and went crashing face first into camera & floor.
So spent the next half hour in the bedroom with an towel full of ice on my knee (which was twice its normal size) and ice on my lip, while every single person who arrived came in on the New House Tour -
"This is the main bedroom, don't mind the bleeding Irish woman..."
Once the bleeding had stopped and my knee was numb enough however, I valiently came forth once more unto the party and proceeded to assist the pain relief process with lots more cider and had a great night - even phoned up Heliotic at one point, tho I'm not sure what I said or if any of it made sense!
If I can find the usb cable for the camera I'll have photos soon, including my INJURIES.
Have already taken much stick in work today for looking like I've been punched in teh face, but at least I didn't end up with a black eye :p
And it makes for an entertaining 'so how'd the party go' tale
