So tired. Am getting WAY to old for all of this... but what a weekend!
Started innocently enough with wine in the garden til 3am on thurs, then on friday evening headed off to dublin. Didn't get there til 10.30 so I figured Id be safe enough and get away with a few beers before bed.
But alas no. I thought it was about 3, but Trish says it was closer to 5 - was good fun to catch up with Graham tho, and have a good gossip with Trish.
Then Sat, the Big Day. Still had huge reservations about the Big Pink Tent dress, but everyone said it was LOVELY so i thought fuck it and went for it. So armed with that, a plastic tiara and Trish's sparkly flip flops, off we went.
The party was great. Damn Great in fact! The sun shone, everyone enjoyed the food and there were RIVERS of champagne. RIVERS. 20 bottles at least. The actual Naming bit was thankfully brief and by that time the boys had silly head gear and staffs wrapped in ivy with flowers to hold, and Trish had her dress etc on, so I didn't feel quite so much like a twat. Also the pink flashy wands that went 'gling gling' every time you moved them were hugely irritating to everyone else, which was an unlooked-for bonus. Eamon and the lads had brought various instruments and struck up a session in one corner, while the rest of us lounged in the sun with champagne. Great Day!
Should have photos later on today, will post links.

Party conintued back at Trish's with much drinking, dancing and general all round silliness. Til 6am. Graham and Grik discovered soul mates in each other and were leaping about the garden looking for things to burn, while I varied between trying to stop them and collapsing with laughter.
Sunday was not so good. Oh the headaches... went back to ruth's to finish off the bbq, then headed into town with the 2 gmen and got very very stoned indeed. Then got dragged off into town for food and drinks, which was a Trial at times.
It seems I don't cope quite so well with the lack of sleep anymore!
Eventually passed out onna chair and had a v. lazy day yesterday, the main feature of which was not making it to work.
So of course last night was going to be an early night. But I made the mistake of starting the latest Robin Hobb book and eventually forced myself to put it down at 4am.
