Mar. 31st, 2005 12:18 pmHad a whole evening to myself last night, with nothing in particular I should be doing, which was great. Called in to see the wee brother with all the left-over beer from the party, which seemed to please him (tho he was a bit too stoned to be very enthusiastic). It's weird to think he's 25 today, that seems very old. And makes me feel much older than my own birthday did :p
Then took myself off to see Constantine, which I actually enjoyed much more than I had expected to. Tho whoever cast Keanu should have been beaten with sticks. Apart from him, and the fact that Chaz seemed to be about 12, they did a pretty good job of getting the atmosphere and at least an idea of the humour in the comics. There were some nice touches, like the oddly apt billboards, that filtered in from the comics.
Not sure I could watch it repeatedly, Keanu would be too irritating, but it was a good way to spend the evening.
On the way back got stopped by the cops for apparently going thro a red light. I'm fairly sure I didn't but there's never much point arguing. I'm more inclined to think they stopped me cos I sped away from the lights (I still get a kick out of the turbo :p), probably looked a tad sus. Still he just gave me a Talking To and left it at that so I can only assume he thought I was a joyrider.
So Australia still remains the only place I've actually got a ticket for Naughty Driving ;)
