People Suck

So today was starting off well. Yesterday was a good day all round, many things Got Done and finished it all off by taking Ziggy for a gallop up the hills at the back of the local park, which was amazing, particularly since she was very well behaved, didn't buck once and only charged off a bit :p

Then saw this charming news story -

Robert McCartney's sisters & partner are being abused, heckled in the street and threatened with being put out of their homes. All these women want is the people who slaughtered their brother behind bars. They have been VERY restrained, and even gave up on standing in elections to highlight their case.
Presumably the same scum who are threatening them would have cheered them on if they'd let the IRA *kill* the men responsible, rather than just want them jailed.
It's sickening and (to me at least) incomprehensible.

On a slightly brighter note, the Sinn Fein election candidate who was in the bar but Saw Nuthin' Guv'nor, Honest, has been withdrawn http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/northern_ireland/4442301.stm
Which is something I guess.

I should actually DO some work maybe. Tho this afternoon I get to go visit Boss-On-The-Sick (14 months and counting!) to reclaim stuff she's been hoarding that we really need now. This will involve cups of tea, gossip and listening to her WOES.

So not much different from lj really :p
