Go on, you know you want to! Go have your say?

I'm not the only one who finds this all exciting am I? Or gets the rush of POWAR as you have your say? HAHA take that GOvernment! Suck it up!

Ahem. Perhaps I will go read How PR Works again to calm myself down (and see if it makes anymore sense this time). http://www.electoralofficeni.gov.uk/faq/PRFAQs.asp

Things I would like to see happen tonight... Tories Trounced whereever possible (hurrah!), similar but even harsher defeats for UKIP, BNP and their ilk. Some of the smugness wiped off Blair's face. Something for the Greens would be nice :p
Of course this is all at kinda one step removed since I can't actually vote for any of these parties.
Locally, I'm more dreading the results than excited. The prospect of seeing Paisley and Adams gleefully expanding their grasp is not a happy one. But maybe sense will prevail! Maybe they'll LOSE some of what they gained in the last assembly election.

Or maybe I should just book my ticket out now to avoid the rush...

In then end I just couldn't do it. Couldn't bring myself to vote for the unionist.
I was gearing myself up to it all day, but just before I left go vote, I looked over their leaflets, then checked his website, and I just didn't want to vote for that party and what they stood for.

So I voted Alliance. The local election bit was almost as bad. Nine candidates - 2 sdlp, fair enough, 1 UU, 1 DUP and FIVE sinn fein. THE HORROR. Comes of living on the edge of west belfast I guess :p

Still it is done now, just have to sit back and see what happens. Of course they don't even start counting ours til tomorrow (see how much we matter).
