(no subject)

So last night, despite being woken up every couple of hours by plastic-hood-in-face, I still managed about 6-7 hours sleep, so that was good. Still v. tired and somewhat braindead, but at least no longer maudlin. Some horse therapy followed by champagne combined with much mindless stabbage on teh mud sorted that one out.

In horse news, Ziggy had gone off for her holidays. Des came up last night and we loaded her up and took her off to the fields at Killinchy (about 10 miles or so away, out in the country, beautiful spot). Everyone seemed to think I should be GUTTED and CRYING and such, but she's only going for a couple of months. Plus it will do her the world of good to be out constantly and just chill out doing horse things. It will likewise do me the world of good to have time in the evenings to just chill out and do Helen things. Like tackle the garden, lie about on the sofa, read, go to the pub and so on.
I also *intend* to check out the leisure centre, but I said that last summer too and never went near the place.

I had links I meant to post earlier in the week about police finally arresting people for the McCartney murder, but I never got round to it. Hopefully this means they managed to get some evidence, since they've known all along who did it (what with the ra helpfully telling the family and so on), but since no witnesses would come forward they had no concrete proof.
It would be so good to finally see some of these scum actually served some kind of justice for what they've done and maybe show the others they're not as untouchable as they thought. Maybe we'd make some sort of progress...
In similar news they've also got someone charged for the Omagh bomb, finally. If they could make that stick that would be a Good Day.

In which my Inner Girly escapes

I bought a new handbag!

It is suede and comes with a matching purse which can be attached and has a range of exciting and varied pockets, including a special one for the attachable matching purse.

I shall now spend the afternoon happily transferring Stuff from my old handbag (which is also suede but is sadly lacking in the exciting pocket department) and purse (which did not match or attach to anything) to the new ones.

This makes me as happy as leeda in the presence of new pink shoes ;p
