Aug. 22nd, 2005 02:39 pmJust bought tickets for this - http://www.vital05.com/day1.php - tomorrow night. Probably will only make it for Franz Ferdinand and Scissor Sisters, but since they're the ones I want to see, thats ok ;p
Normally I dither about going to things for so long I either don't make it or forget, but luckily was reminded about this by Edith who wants to go too, so we made a quick dash to Virgin then congratulated ourselves on being Hip and Cool and Down with the Kids.
After lunch I paid my car tax. In a very Hip and Cool way of course.
In advance too, which is some kind of record I think.
The weekend was fun, Neil's party fri night which was much drinking and dancing about the living room til 5am, then Jim's sat. night; a much more sedate affair with barbeque, drinking and sitting about round a fire talking nonsense.
Last night found myself in the rare position of having the entire evening to myself. Made a few phone calls to ensure I shouldn't be doing family things or whatever then settled down on the sofa to watch crap tv. Ended up instead in MOVIE HEAVEN.
First, found Princess Bride on sci-fi (why they keep showing I don't know, but I'm not complaining) then TCM must have been having a Gene Wilder Thing, cos they had Blazing Saddles followed by Charlie and the Chocolate factory.
I was tempted to stick on Young Frankenstein after, just to round off the Wilderfest, but it was already 12.30 and I was sleepy.
Perfect evening tho ;)
