Bleh, stupid festival flu thing. Feel like shit. Of course spending yesterday tramping round bogs in tyrone in rain & wind didn't help much.
Came in to work purely because I was supposed to meet some woman for whom my boss asked me to print out some maps for a conference or something because god forbid people actually have to use our public search room and do their own work.
I spent most of tues afternoon doing them & emailed to say I'd leave them at reception since I'd be out all day wed. She said she'd rather come pick them up at 10 on thursday. Its now 11.45, my head is all fuzzy and hurty, my nose is runny and sniffy, my ears hurt, my lungs hurt, I am either far too hot or far too cold and between the constant coughing and sneezing my back is fucked too. And has she shown up? Has she fuck.

To sum up, screw you guys, I'm going home!

ETA yay, home now, with added OJ, paracetemol and tissues ;p
Stupid woman rang just as I was leaving at 12.30. NOT to say 'sorry I couldn't make it' but 'I'm just leaving, I'll be there in half an hour'.
Alas I could not think of a polite way to point out that a. you're THREE hours late and b. thats fucking LUNCH TIME BITCH, so I settled for 'well i'm leaving now, your stuff is at reception THXBYE'

Bah and double bah. I am off to bed now with comfort food, a book and a big box of tissues. Hopefully later I will be less whiny ;p

Feeling slightly better. I think. Or maybe just differently ill. Slept all afternoon with crazy dreams then got up and made Nice Food, which helped lots.

Then, since I was feeling better, decided to go to stables after all, since I won't get there all this weekend again. Probably shouldn't have, feel rather shaky and ill now, tho have probably sweated out some of the stupid cold (not that you wanted not know that I'm sure).

And now I have to go to the pub. The one fucking night I REALLY don't want to go out is the only night I can go meet Verner, who is home from England for last night's match. I only get to see him maybe once or twice a year these days so I can't really not go.
I shall have hot whiskeys and see how I feel after an hour. May just stay long enough to catch up then come home and collapse again.

Hmm less whineyness needed... Ziggy is coming on great, getting fitter by the day, loving the fact that she can jump again, now we just have to work on building up her stamina. She's also been in great form - easy to catch and handle and not one buck yet. I like this relaxed Ziggy thing, I hope it lasts!
