okay. It is 6.30 am. I just got home after a very pleasant evening of seeing Serenity with a Firefly newcomer, drinking and watching lots of FF with said newcomer at her house. Get home, having breakfast (does More Cider count as breakfast?), cat is going MENTAl at one of my boots. One of my Favourite boots at that. Really sticking her head right in like there's something in there she just HAS to get at and right now I REALLY don't want to know WTF that is.

Not sure if it's just the laces she's attacking or if there really is something in there.
Tempted to pick up boot and cat and fire both outside. Am a bit creeped out by this. She has her head right inside it; I've never seen her this concentrated on an inanimate object before.

I REALLY don't want to be finding dead things in my shoes; the bag was bad enough.

Of course not so creepified I didn't take photos (hey the camera was right here!). Will post later. Much later, since won't be going to bed til 7ish it seems.
Appear to be turning into B.Jones again. V. bad sign.

FUCK FUCK FUCK she looks liek she just pulled somethign with a tail out. Off to bed. NOW

ETA - have been Very Brave. Picked up Cat and Boot, fired cat out, shook boot out.
In retrospect should possibly have left cat inside to let mouse escape. Boot may have to be binned; not sure I could wear it again, would be constantly expecting movement between toes.

Where have my wossnames gone? Head is saying prepositions. Not sure that is the right word (Hurrah, a the! All is not lost.) Finish cider, then bed. So much for riding before lunch :p

Now it's just sitting there on the mat, looking a bit chewed but STILL NOT DEAD.

This is not working well the the hangover I can tell you.
Also, why in god's name did I get in at 6.30 and sit down at the computer?

Today is not shaping up to be a Good Day.

ETA for once, I caved. Sod the Independant Woman thing. Phoned a mate who lives nearby and he came round and manfully lifted the creepy little bugger out into the hedge. Hopefully it will stay there. I seriously need either find some sort of deterrent or just lock the cat flaps at night.
