Driving home in the snow this evening, Johnny Cash still in teh cd, it occured to me that 'A Boy Named Sue' could have been written about Jayne ;p
Would explain a lot about him too ;)



My daddy left home when I was three
And he didn't leave much to Ma and me
Just this old guitar and an empty bottle of booze.
Now, I don't blame him cause he run and hid
But the meanest thing that he ever did
Was before he left, he went and named me 'Sue.'

Can't wait for the film. Tho don't recall Joaqin Phoenix having a particularly deep voice. Gotta get the voice right!

Why is it

a. I never remember to order oil and
b. it always runs out at the worst possible time?


Bugger.

ETA found a place nearby that sells cannister thingys of heating oil. But ALAS i need either teeny pliers (the ones I have are too big) or a spannery thing to turn the little nut because the boiler is now airlocked.
Good thing I am off to the Mother's tonight where it is warm and there is a garage full of such implements that I can plunder in the morning.
Maybe *this* will teach me to order oil in time next year.
