May. 16th, 2006 10:00 amThe other thing I'd forgotten about the lack of horse is that, now I'm not out of the house for 2-3 hours every evening doing horse stuff, there is a related lack of tired in the evenings.
I had planned to do some gardening last night, but rain thwarted me there, so in the end the most energetic thing I did all evening was a bit of Tom and Jerry-style shrieking and flailing when I caught Lana trying to stash a half-dead mouse in my handbag. Luckily (?) the mouse made a break for freedom and once she had it again, I flailed her out the cat flap. I need one of those broom thingys the woman in the cartoon had. Remind me again, WHY do I have cats?
ANYWAY the rest of the evening was spent between sofa and pc, with no sign of tiredness. Until 3am *yawns*.
Looks like it might be drier tonight, hopefully will get to the garden. Have lovely new herbs to plant too (to give me some incentive to reclaim the little herb patch).
