London Ahoy!
May. 30th, 2006 02:39 pmYou know, deciding to round off the bank holiday weekend by drinking a bottle of wine and not going to bed til 2 may not have been the best idea ever, even if it did seem like a really good idea at the time.
Also have odd aches from the gardening yesterday - the horse has only been away a few weeks and already everything is seizing up, woe.
But less of the whinging, have finally got round to booking hotel and flights for London in June, hurrah!
Staying here, nearest tube stop is Kensington High st., for anyone wanting to come out for a pint or some on Saturday 17th June. There are a few pubs around there, best bet maybe to meet up in the hotel bar then decamp elsewhere (since it looks like it might well be horribly overpriced). Any recommendations/suggests welcome ;)
Other plans include window shopping, sleeping and possibly traipsing round a museum/gallery for a while.
The V&A is a strong contender, since I've never been there, it's not too far from the hotel and has a few exhibitions on, including one of various things the Che Guevara image has ended up on. Tho if anything like That Shirt is in there, might not be a good one to do with a hangover :p
ps
leeda can you make pints after work on the Friday (16th) then? I can come find you I'm sure ;)
