Mar. 12th, 2007 12:05 pmHmm Monday morning hangovers are such fun...
I did, however, have a very fine weekend, filled with a nice mix of Doing Stuff, Lazing and Drinking.
Picked Tilly up in Dublin on Thursday, had a quick stop in Swords to visit folk then sped off Northwards to have takeaway, cider and catch up properly.
Friday was lazing a bit, and pottering about city centre. Went to work after lunch to discover everyone else had already left, so scarpered myself at 3 and took Tilly to meet Ziggy instead, which was much more fun. Then pub! Followed by sitting up Late drinking and chatting more.
Saturday was Busy. Early(ish) start to get wakened up and go pony trekking.
It was a beautiful sunny spring day, and a quiet ride thro the forest was just what our hangovers needed. The trek leader guy was great too - he gave us the frisker horses, rather than the standard sleepy trek ponies and a couple of times hung back with us to let the others get ahead so we could have a good charge off after them. Great fun ;)
Afterwards, had much needed pub lunch - and luckily 2nd half of the Ireland/Scotland game, greatly enlivened by the Rugby Fan sat near us who would occasionally launch himself off his stool towards us (as we were between him and the big screen) with cries of "Bounce, you auld cunt of a ball!" and the like.
Followed that with a meander along the beach and visting family, then got back home and collapsed. So very tired.
Somehow made it to the pub after a nap and shower, which was nice but we declined the party after and went home to bed instead. Must be getting old...
Sunday had looong lie in, then went to the zoo! It was a fairly wet day, so most of the best animals were not for coming out - no big cats or wolves or meercats :/ WAILY.
We did get to see the elephant have a pedicure tho, and baby giraffes and zebras and baby colobus monkeys playing and sea lions frolicking in their pool.
Rounded the evening off with wine, viking vodka & Walk the Line (lovely lovely Joaquin). Good times.
Sleepy and head hurty now tho ;p
