Mar. 26th, 2007 11:39 amThank y'all for the birthday wishes! Had a lovely time - in part due to the discovery that the Big Tescos up the road stocks the lovely KATY - Cider Of Joy!!
This made me so happy. There may have been dancing in the aisles. Also texting of joyous haiku.
Best Birthday Discovery EVAR!
Had a relatively quiet evening - took
being_here to meet Ziggy and she was appropriately praiseworthy of her, though mostly struck by her size. I tend to forget just how big she is, but she must seem huge to anyone not used to horses. And even some who are ;p
Then we went home, and previous plans of going out for Food and Pub seemed all too complicated (ie involved me taking my boots off ;p) so we settled for take-away, CIDER OF JOY and Firefly watching. Also talking to folk via MSN. And it was Great!
Had family & a couple of friends round for tea-party thing the following afternoon (see, I CAN be civilised!) which was much livelier, mostly due to the presence of toddlers who, between cats running about and the sheer amount of cake and sugary food available, thought they were in heaven. A rather noisy heaven at that! but it was fun.
Rounded off the evening, and
being_here &
walklikeacat's visit with Fine Wines, Serenity and a smoke of my little brother's birthday present (he does like to give a practical gift ;p).
Sunday, managed to get up to wave off early-departing guests then... slept. And slept some more. Got up, put ziggy out, had lovely lunch with book in the garden since it was so sunny, brought ziggy in, dozed on sofa. Watched the start of the Northanger Abbey thing on ITV but it was a bit dull. And I never liked the book that much ;p So opted for mudding instead.
Damn fine weekend all round really. Back at work now. WOE. But only til thursday! Yay!
