Sooo sleepy. We had the most AMAZING thunderstorm last night, the biggest - and loudest I've seen in a long long time. Sheet AND forked lighting, massive claps of thunder, huge rain and wind, very stirring stuff! The only slight drawback being that it didn't start til about 2am, and after watching til nearly 3 before finally dragging myself off to bed, it kept coming back (I think it was sort of circling round Belfast), last massive BOOOM I heard was at about 4.30.

So slightly zombified today. On the plus side, so is pretty much everyone else in the office - except little E. who slept thro the whole thing!

The only other slight downside is that S. is arriving to stay this evening for a couple of nights, on one of her fleeting visits home from the US and so instead of collapsing when I get home, I have to go get shopping and tidy up and... basically do all the stuff I totally failed to do yesterday despite being home by 3 :p

One other thing. Discovered while debating 'SG1 or bed' last night that sky 1 is repeating Dead Like Me. "Yay" I think, for I never saw it all. But at 2.30 AM!! WHY? Why not stick then endless bloody star gates on *then* and show the surreal soul-stealing dead girl show at a relatively reasonable hour? Bad form, Sky 1, very bad form!
Tho. They did show the Poisiden remake with Adam Balwin, being basically Present Day Jayne, so they're not *all* bad.

Yay!! My influence is far-reaching! I shall take over the world!!!

mwahahahahahahahahahaha!

Dead Like Me was really good. I was a late starter, so missed most of the first series, but really got into the 2nd series. Need to try and buy the box set and some point, when the Finance Fairy lets me. Although NOT before I buy Joan of Arcadia. I LOVED that series!!

Heh I did it the other way round, saw most of the first series and none at all of the 2nd. And now they're showing it in the middle of the bloody night! So unfair.

I only ever saw a couple of eps. of Joan tho, was it good too then?

Yes... the combination of c. 4hrs sleep, plus heat, plus the realisation i have to Do Stuff this evening is really hitting now.
Not that it's bad stuff, having people to stay is great, I just don't have the energy to be looking forward to it like I should be.

i didn't get to SEE the storm, i just slept badly and had bang-flash type dreams (all now fled).

p.s. i was once against the "endless bloody stargates" too. and then i stupidly watched some SGA. oh - wait - off i go to the rodney place again.

*girlish sigh*

Shame, it was a great storm, and there was much bang-flash! Tho it might have been better on a little earlier!

Second season of Dead Like Me is on here, three times a week at 20! Brilliant. And we have Midsummer Murders and Miss Marple. Someone up there is watching me.

it may not be true! but he IS in it, this much i know.

(of course, jayne would totally stash grenades in his underwear - probably to circumvent some stupid ruling of mal's about mannerly conduct in a convent or somesuch. until someone pointed out what he stands to lose, which would of course precipitate the excellent Woobie Sad Face.)
