Nov. 10th, 2008 11:24 amAfter a series of very social weekends, this on was very quiet and unsocial and mostly involved sofa, laptop and silly tv.
The highlight of Friday's silly telly was Armageddon which somehow I have never managed to see before and was a ridiculous delight of over the top disaster movie cliches and totally did not make me cry at all at any point. Plus Liv Tyler got to do her Pensive Arwen Face a lot.
Sat. - sleeeep, sofa, then off to see family to sit on a different sofa and watch different silly telly including my Guilty Pleasure - Extreme Makeover: Home Edition * which also totally did not make me cry at all (and it was a HAPPY one!).
Sun - more family stuff, also more sofa (a whole DAY of Escape to the Country! It is probably a v. good thing I don't have UK Style on my own digibox thing), eventually back home to watch The Colour of Magic , which was highly enjoyable and even overcame my initial TOO OLD objection to David Jason as Rincewind. Loved Cohen and The Luggage was perfect ;)
Followed by Sharpe for some great tight-trousered Manly Action and finally bed - this lazy weekend thing takes it out of you!
Today, I got the train to work! otherwise, it is all quiet so far.
*on perusing Wikipedia, i have discovered that Ty's name is atually "Tygert Bruton Pennington". Beat THAT Hugh Dillon! TYGERT! Can't stop giggling.
