Nov. 18th, 2008 09:57 pmSo, lj survived the server move thing then. Yay!
Course is going well, am learning Interesting New Things that hopefully I will actually remember when I get back to work and be able to play around with before the boring crap piles up and I forget it all. Tiring tho, much concentration required (despite v. helpful training manual with useful instructions including "Click where it says 'click here'.").
Went for riding lesson this evening too, despite being knackered. First half went great, managed to canter a circle and not be wobbly. 2nd half, not so well as it was jumping - which requires all your bodyweight to be balanced on your ankles. Tried riding round in jumping position which was sort of ok in trot, couldn't do it at all in canter, so decided Against jumping. Instructor also advised against it til legs are stronger. And didn't help by pointing out the v. big horse I was riding doesn't jump well and tends to do an odd cat-leap, which can easily fire you right out of the saddle, and it's a looong way down.
Still felt like a complete wuss and a bit annoyed the Fear of Jumping has returned (it's always been a tad traumatic. Tho great on the rare occasions it went well ;p). Will wait a bit then maybe try a private lesson to work on it. and Teh Fear. Stupid fear.
How are you all doing then? One more day of course then I shall Return! Am still waiting for my Prize Art from thesme too.
ps Surely something is slightly wrong when a regional team do better against the All Blacks than the national side? Maybe we should send Munster to the Six Nations... (NB, I didn't actually see the game due to riding, just the score ;p)
