I aten't dead!
Oct. 22nd, 2009 10:55 pmJust... busy. Days mostly go work/horse/hospital/sofa/bedlalalalanosleep/morningwoe.
Also constant rounds of phoning/texting/emailing/msning updates on the mother to various family members. Oh, and facebooking. All of which leaves me totally out of social points for any other form of communication, hence no lj, mudding or even twitter.
Work has also got busy with much organising things, doing training stuff for people and generally Getting Stuff Done. So, mostly just... knackered.
Mum's op did go very well (according to consultant) and tho she was in great form for the first few days, since then she's mostly felt v. sick, very tired and isn't eating (which is why constant round of phoning and updates and WHAT'S HAPPENING NOW?).
But tonight Aunt Who iS a Nurse checked her chart and spotted that as part of the op they'd given her a few doses of the really strong antibiotic that made her so ill earlier this year she couldn't eat for month (?flucoxicillen?). Which is reassuring in a way (in a DO YOU EVER CHECK HER NOTES kind of way tho), as now we know why she's feeling so ill. And it was only a couple of small doses, so hopefully that'll wear off soon.
On the plus side, I have tomorrow off work to spend up at the stables getting the horse shod and clipped. Must remember to bring camera. And even better right NOW I have Katy. Lovely appley stress relieving Katy...
