So, it turns out sleeping without a cast is actually Really Fucking Painful - going from a tight cast to no support at all is not a Good Thing.

Dispatched being_here to purchase a support bandage thingy which helped some tho.
Also getting the hang of the ROBOBOOT now and it is actually quite comfortable, especially in the car.

I even managed to get down to the office today to say Hi and speak to boss/possible prospective boss types (there's a bit reshuffle planned next week, no-one has any idea who'll be doing what) to explain it'll be a few weeks yet before I return. Still got a stack of stuff I can do from home, so that's something at least.

ION... none really. It is good to be back in my own house, but being here by myself on would be a bit tricky alas, so it'll be be back to the mother's next week.
Having teh visitors is great tho (and not just because they fetch and carry for me ;p), there has been much watching of dvds and drinking of fizzy wines. Hurrah!
Also discovered i can order the Cider of JOY from tesco online! I may have to drink it in bed tho, I'm pretty sure Katy + Crutches + Stairs = DISASTER waiting to happen.

I will have to start inventing wild and wacky adventures soon, or this is all going to get Incredibly Dull. blah blah blah LEG blah blah blah. Meh.

Yay to visitors!

I am now stranded in Reading - and peoples are being warned to stay away from u us so not going out for tea with dans parentals tonight now which is a shame as not seen em for ages.

In additional news I am also stranded from going to get my meds tomorrow so here comes a week of renewed pain until I can get to the doctors.

I hate floods.

missed your call, sorry. i am germed up but can't be off because for some odd reason i have a whole pile of work backed up. WEIRD. so, i was thinking of stopping by thursday, but i feel so blech this may not take place. what are you and your servants guests at on friday?

By far the best bit about having the cast off is that you can wash your leg :) As soon as I had mine off I caught a cab straight home and had a 45 minute shower :)

I didn't have any sleeping issues without the cast, mine were all with it, primarily because I'd kick tara in my sleep, and the fibreglass would scratch her legs :)
