Good things this week!

Last night, I made Pancakes. LOTS of pancakes. So very tasty. Buttery sugary lemony goodness. OM NOM NOM. Still kinda stuffed now. HMM. should do that more often.

Today, I went shopping! First abortive attempt was to Castle Court (mall type place). Limped over - quite a bit without crutch, including steps, yay - only to discover had left bag with wallet in office. Cursed, went back.
Decided to go to Monsoon instead and ended buying not one, but two dresses (well, I couldn't choose). So SUCCESS there!

Also the sun is shining and I have Exciting Weekend Plans for 2 weeks in a row - this weekend, I grace Castle Thesmington with my stately presence, next week, Febmeet! For cider, refinement and so on even if it is still in bloody Feltham ;p . May even go the pub on friday. It's almost like having a life!

Rofl, Castle Thesmington

Is it in Thesmington Downs or Thesmington Valley?

You're not allowed in Castle Thesmington.

[identity profile] hellison.livejournal.com 2008-02-06 02:45 pm (UTC)(link)
Thesmington Downs I think. Since I can't even type 'thesmington valley' without shuddering

[identity profile] thesme-01.livejournal.com 2008-02-06 02:47 pm (UTC)(link)
Thesmington Valley.

A dark glade between two light brown drumlins, Thesmington valley is known for its pellucid streams and copious curly reeds. It is a much-prized destination by day-trippers but difficult to conquer.

It means RIVERSIDE.

Well, technically the spelling is riparian. But the V makes it sound COOL.

the curly reeds shivered in the breeze caused by the frantic wails of the trapped hellison as the bombay earth snakes slythed inexorably towards her.

Down in Thesmington Valley.

Click on link for more info re habitat, etc!

[identity profile] hellison.livejournal.com 2008-02-07 10:53 am (UTC)(link)
ooh! Blind snakes live underground or beneath a layer of rocks, sand, or leaves and rarely emerge from their hideouts. They have poor eyesight and rely primarily on smell and heat detection to locate their prey consisting of insects and insect larvae.

Sounds like Thesmington Valley would be the perfect habitat!
