I aten't drowned!

Or, thankfully flooded - given that this is the route I usually take to work, it's not as unlikely as you might think. Living on a hill does have its benefits, although *getting* home tonight is going to be problematic.
AND it's just occured to me that what I should have done after getting car serviced earlier is taken back road home from garage, left the car and got the train into town. Bugger.

ION... none really. Weekend was spent mostly staring out at the rain going 'WTF?'. Tho there was actually a brief burst of sunshine yesterday, which was nice. Rain is back today tho :/

However it's a short week this week as I am off on friday to visit [livejournal.com profile] being_here for Fun and Frolics and Alcohol. Hurrah! Hopefully it's drier over there ;p

Slightly. As Amy said at training this morning 'we're all a little moist, aren't we?'

Will you rube it?

[identity profile] thesme-01.livejournal.com 2008-08-19 09:01 am (UTC)(link)
Yes, yes we are. I am moist. My feet are moist. My shoes are moist. My house is moist. My cats are moist and sulking. My coat is moist. My car is moist. My country is moist (Dublin 186.2mm this month, Belfast about the same but scabby UK Met won't give me the totals).

WE ARE MOIST

Also we are suffering from chronic light deprivation. The entire Island of Ireland is transforming into a bunch of drooling white-skinned, rotting cadavers.

SAVE US.

Me too! You seem to be having a drier year this time too, thankfully ;)

STOP USING THAT WORD. What's wrong with damp? That's a perfectly good word!

And yes. lack of sunlight will send us all slowly mad. But will anyone notice?

they will when we spill forth from these coasts, howling unstoppably, in search of the LIGHT. NO-ONE WILL STAND IN OUR WAY

That is the least of what I shall do...

They will when they get here on friday
