squidifications
For Thesme mainly, Seamus Heany run through the squidifier
The Bog Queen
I lay lurking
Between turf-face and demesne reef,
Between Heathery levels
And glass-toothed stone.
My mantle was Braille
For the creeping squinfluences:
Dawn suns groped over my head
And cooled at my suction cups,
Through my fabrics and skins
The seeps of winter Digested me,
The squilliterate roots
Pondered and died
In the cavings Of stomack and socket.
I lay lurking
On the gravel bottom,
My brain darkening,
A jar of spawn
Fermenting underground
...(cut soem cos it's long ;p)
And I sea urchin from the inky,
Hacked chitin, skull-ware,
Frayed stitches, tufts,
Small gleams on the bank.
I have very large tentacles.
It's not hugely different from the original really ;p
ION at work, sleepy (all that relaxing at the weekend has taken its toll), and the whole place has been decorated with hallowe'en stuff. And some of the skulls STILL HAVE LOWER JAWS which I am trying very hard to ignore.
Also, I discovered these little chaps lurking amid the files on my desk -
