There is Man ripping apart the kitchen, it is GREAT. Lots of banging and hammering and smashing. BYE BYE CRAPPY OLD KITCHEN!

Only slight flaw now is that I can't get hold of the gas-fitter guy to get him to come do the pipes etc for new hob. WIll keep trying.

My day is going fine, nice and leisurely. I am looking at research grants, messing about with weather sites, and such. Later I will purchase a shiny new laptop for the office. Then I will make aubergine bake. Y'know, nice things.

I cunningly sneaked in a day in lieu yesterday and didn't get told off too much about it so it's all good so far. Work is insanely busy, so they are glad to have me back in the office ;)

Made the best soup ever (was even 100% vegetarian!) yesterday and am looking forward to eating another portion tonight.

Other than that? erm... nothing. Should start planning Christmas presents. I seem to have built up a reputation on the present-giving front and need to not let myself down... Oh, and I should figure out what to give Dad for his 65th birthday on the 18th.
