hellisonWork is even quieter today. Seriously, the 2 people who did come in have both disappeared off somewhere. So I may nip out to the shops myself.
So, since there is v. little of actual note to say, a Meme.
01. What are your nicknames?
Depends who you ask I guess, to mudders probably mostly Eatin (tho that's getting rarer), Hellison is one that started in school and ended up here on lj. BFF Lisa calls me Hells Bells.
02. How do you style your hair?
hehe style? Styling doesn't really happen ;p I wash it and if i'm going out scrunch it a bit for Curl Enhancement, otherwise, dry with towel and tie it back. Low Maintenance Hair is good (and any time in the past I tried 'styling' it just ignored me and did it's own thing anyway. 03. What's new in your life right now?
The kitchen is the most obvious thing I guess.
I also seem to have a new-found ability to throw things out, which is great fun. Gradually making in-roads on the Piles of Stuff that have gathered around the house is actually quite fun.
04. How many colours are you wearing now?
Browny-orange jumper (rust? mabye?), brown cords and FINALLY after a over a year and a half, my favourite Black boots, which I haven't managed to fit back into til now. YAY! Not entirely sure how getting them *off* again is going to go, but I will worry about that later ;p
So, 3. And the stealth bra, which is brown and greenish, mostly.
05. Are you an introvert or extrovert?
Bit of both actually. Mostly I'm quite happy on my own, or in small groups. Stick me in a large group tho and add some cider and (as many of you have seen/heard), I'm away. Loudly ;p
06. What was the last book you read?
Mr Knightly's Diary, a retelling of Jane Austen's Emma from his point of view. A lovely xmas present frombeing_here!
07. Do you nap a lot?
Not really. If I fall asleep after work, I tend to be up all night afterwards. My main problem is getting to bed (woes, 2am AGAIN last night), but once I'm there, it's very hard to get me out of it again.
08. If the person you secretly like is already taken, what would you do?
Hah. MOVE ON. For years, I did not. And wasted a lot of time on False Hopes etc. I have never wanted to 'steal' someone away or break up a couple, but waiting for them to maybe someday Be Free again is just pointless. Took me a while to realise that. Actually it took someone Being Free again and being no more interested than when he wasn't free. So yes. Move On, find someone Not Taken (haven't managed that part yet mind you ;p).
09. Is there anything that has made you unhappy these days?
November was shite as always, but in general, things are good. Had lovely Christmas with family, house is looking good and feeling like home, am getting back into horses again and my favourite boots fit. Small things can be just as happyifying as the big ones ;)
10. What's your favorite dessert?
Icecream with hot chocolate sauce. Simple, but always good.
11. How long does it take you to get ready in the morning?
Depends how much I've slept in by really ;p About 5 minutes to scramble into clothes, have a quick wash, throw food at cats and run out the door. Longer if I can't find a shoe/clean top/keys etc. But generally 5-10 minutes between getting up and out the door.
12. What websites do you visit daily?
gmail, livejournal, discworld mud boards, facebook, bbcnews (because it's always allowed at work even when they block everything else) and whatever ever else takes my fancy after that - gofugyourself, icanhazcheezburger, fandom_wank
13. What classes are you taking right now? And if you're not in school any more, what's your job?
No classes. Am a desk-bound archaeologist working in an SMR, fiddling with maps and databases and archives and stuff.
14. Do you like to clean?
Nooooooo. NO NO NO. Hate housework. My dishwasher is the most fantastic thing ever because i don't have to wash dishes. I am (as mentioned above) getting better at *clearing*. But not cleaning. Such a waste of time, it only gets messy again anyway ;p
15. What's the last song that got stuck in your head?
Um. Dunno actually. Probably something christmassy from endless tv ads. That ASDA one was driving me up the walls.
16. What's the last movie you saw?
Twilight! Which was so much funnier than I had expected. It was great. Hilariously great. Sparkle SOUND EFFECTS. So much pouting and angst. I'd go again, honestly. So funny.
17. What's better: eternal love or memorable love?
Um. what's the difference? Wouldn't you remember eternal love, or don't you have to because it's already there? Or is this Grand Passion v. the kind of love that lasts for years and years but is... quieter? Calmer?
In which case. Hmm. Memorable Passion is all very well, but doesn't keep your feet warm on a cold night or bring you tea in bed 10 years later... or whatever it is happens with eternal love. If I ever find out, I'll let you know!
18. What is your least favorite thing to do that you have to do everyday?
Get out of bed in the morning. I know *logically* if I went earlier at night i'd get extra bed-time, but I don't want it at night, I want an extra 2 hours at 8am when the alarm goes off! Otherwise, I'd say anything cleaning/housework related, but I don't do that everyday ;p
19. What is your favorite cocktail?
A well made mojito always goes down very well. Also cosmopolitans and mai tais
20. What are you most looking forward to in the coming month?
What does one look forward to in January? Hopefully getting in another weekend of visiting folks. That, and getting the kitchen finished (must phone tiler).
