ZOMG DONE!

Well, practically done, it needs painted, but that's the easy part. Hopefully ;p

So, it has gone from this -

Horrible white cupboards - which were half empty and one that just didn't open, broken drawers HIDEOUS tiles. horrible solid metal hob. Extractor fan thing never worked and just let IN drafts. BLEH

Table in the middle that constantly got in the way (well, the chairs did).

Stupid sink that either leaked, or blocked or both. Note particularly 'work top' over washing machine only held up by wedge of wood.

to THIS!

SHINY SHINY worktops! Shiny tiles! Shiny WORKING extractor fan! Pully-out larder cupboard! Gas hob! Tiles on floor! Table now at the SIDE so there is room to move, AND open dishwasher!

I like it. I like it VERY MUCH. Especially when I look at the 'before' pics. I hated it ;p

Of course right now I'd like it even MORE if the tilers hadn't fucked up the heating and my feet were warm, but hopefully that'll be easily fixed *crosses cold fingers*

At least it's not actually freezing here just now ;p

but yay, DONE! It rocks ;)

ps Internet up and down like a yo-yo. No idea why. Woe, etc.

Oooooh that's AWFAE braw love! What a difference it's made, it now looks like a kitchen you'd actually feel encouraged to cook nice meals in, if you get my meaning.

Thank you! comparing the photos, i'm amazed at the difference it's made myself. And yes, I do intend to use it more - I spent as little time in it as possible before, now it's actually a place i want to be in doing things!

Yay! Lovely kitchen!

We're getting more kitchen activity on Tues. Handles, appliances and sink. Though probably not including plumbing or electrics.

oooh yay! They'll be there at least.

Tho that reminds me, i have to bug the kitchen place about the couple of Wrong Handles they have yet to replace (they are all meant to be the 'satiny' non-shiny type, but they sent some Shiny ones and there is quite enough shine in the kitchen already ;p).

You could try baking something, the oven would probably help :)

I did do that last night, had roast spuds for dinner. ALso the gas hob is handy, cos turning on all rings takes the chill away pretty quickly too ;p
