Oh am totally all for shorter hours for doctors, and I sitll have a photo somewhere of the huge X they drew on my leg before my own op to make sure they pinned the right one back together ;p
But this is a private consultant who, which I am sure he works hard, doesn't do anything like the shifts the hospital doctors do.
The nurses, OTOH were all amazing and incredibly helpful, desite doing at least 12-13hr shifts.
