So, after a phone consultation with Lovely Dr Irwin, today I have learned that the way to treat landing on one's head from a moving object is NOT to drink an entire bottle of champagne, then go drinking again the next day.

Turns out alcohol can both mask AND prolong the symptoms of concussion and that feeling dazed, headachy and generally out of it all last week and this was not so much due to the hangover - and he used to play rugby so I guess he knows what he's talking about ;p

So am back home (yay afternoon off) as I couldn't concentrate in work anyway, and under instructions to rest, NOT drink and go to casualty if I start throwing up. Yay!

At some point tho, I must document actual birthday funtimes, with added photos (including diamond white drinking, BLECH).

It's certainly one way to celebrate turning 40 (and did amuse doctor greatly when he worked that out. I do like my doctor)!

I am quite impressed with the wonderfully circular logic of taking over a week to realise I was concussed *because* I was concussed (and, for some it of, drunk) ;p

I did at least land on the other side this time, which is something? So now they are... equally rattled (Lovely Dr Irwin's phrase there ;p).

I felt FINE at the time tho, which may be why it took so long to work out what was going on.
Well, that and all the fizzy wine...

I know. And i have a fridge full of LOVELY LOVELY fizzy wines too. Must Stop falling off horse.

I thought it was a hangover! and by the time I realised it wasn't, I'd forgotten about falling off in the first place...
