Actually the room I work in is known as 'the library' :p

I worked out too why so much of the live journalling.
I still have no voice and therefore can't inflict my Pearls of Wisdom (ie irrelevant blatherings) on those around me, thus you all must suffer in their stead.

j'accuse! or something. I have no voice either, I can't even speak on the phone without searing pain and the sound of grinding machinery coming from my throat.

Sounds very familiar, particularly the crushed-glass swallowing pain. Danbala has admitted to having been ill before attending the meet, so I think we can safely blame her. Perhaps the dress was cunningly laced with a virus :p
