Horse show pics
Apr. 17th, 2005 01:20 amWent to see Apassionata tonight - http://www.greatesthorses.co.uk - a Horse Spectacular (according to the programme) with Lusitanos, Andalucians, Arabians, Lipizzaners and Friesians.
It was indeed Spectacular - amazing riding and absolutely breathtaking horses. Took many pics, but most are just horse shaped blurs, and the ones of the Friesians not even that... well you try getting a good shot of black horses cantering round a darkened arena with no flash :p
Anyway, these are the ones that I like best. The rest I'll probably stick on fotopic tomorrow.

Garrocha riding on Andalucians - riding with a HUGE pole, I've seen this done before and it's always impressive, but these 2 were amazing.

Lipizzaner quadrille - I like the way this one came out.
How that woman managed high level dressage side saddle I have no idea. I've seen hunting and jumping but that level of dressage... she only gets one leg! How does that work?

One of the few Freisian pics that came out clearly. Amazing horses. So gorgeous. Insert much drooling here.

Can you spot the horse? If you can, I'll explain it :p This was stunning to watch.

Stallion just about to kick off into capriole. Naturally I missed the actual kick, but I love this anyway.

Dressage via long reining. Another stunning stallion.

Drool drool drool drool... so gorgeous.

Another Lipizzaner. Just look at the muscles...
There are many more, but those are my favourites ;)
