I'd have gone for a lot more Wookiee-age myself as well. Glad to see there was none of Chewie's family that starred in the Star Wars Holiday Special (I am still having nightmares).

Oh, and the hand thing... I think that's just something that happens in all the films (someone correct me if I'm wrong). Just like they say "I have a bad feeling about this" in every film. I could just have been reading too much IMDB though...
The best thing about the hand chopping off is the lego characters, like Luke from Return of The Jedi and his little gold hand. Ok. I look like a geek now. I'll stop. (glad someone else has seen it now though!)
