I live on the edge of Belfast and I work in the city centre. It's a small city, so I live about 6 miles from work. Normally the trip home takes about 20 mins in the car, on a bad day 30 or so.

Today it took me 1 hour and 45 minutes. To travel SIX FUCKING MILES.

Not impressed.

nah ;) just, y'know, hearing people whine about their commute is funny :P It wasn't unusual for my morning commute to take 2.5 hrs. It was unusual for you :)

Well yes, but your commute is due to traffic problems, infrastructure and so one. Mine was due to fuckwits standing in the middle of the fucking road because some other fuckwits had to walk a slightly different way to what they wanted.
Of course if you add in that the roads they blocked included the routes to all of the hospitals, and yesterday they were blocking the gates to the Mater hospital, it all gets a tad more frustrating than just too many cars on the road.

Heh yes ;p I must admit I am getting increasingly angry and bitter about the whole thing the longer it goes on.
Initially it was 'this is annoying, but you are obviously deeply upset about things' now its more 'get the fuck of the fucking roads you fuckwits and go get a fucking life. Or even a job so I don't have to pay for your fucking benefits.'

It's scary how this brings out the lurking tory within.
