Now it's just sitting there on the mat, looking a bit chewed but STILL NOT DEAD.

This is not working well the the hangover I can tell you.
Also, why in god's name did I get in at 6.30 and sit down at the computer?

Today is not shaping up to be a Good Day.

ETA for once, I caved. Sod the Independant Woman thing. Phoned a mate who lives nearby and he came round and manfully lifted the creepy little bugger out into the hedge. Hopefully it will stay there. I seriously need either find some sort of deterrent or just lock the cat flaps at night.

You lock the cat flap and they eat the mouse outdoors, come in in the morning and throw up the now partially digested mouse on your foot.

You can't win.

Give up hope now.

I speak from experience.

You're probably right. I wouldn't mind so much if she'd even kill them - dead mice I can just about handle. It's the faking-death-til-poked ones that I can't deal with.

Humm. Re-reads 'The amazing Maurice and his educated rodents' very quickly.

You aren't being approached by young men with pipes now are you?
