So I think I'm just about recovered. It was a damn good weekend! I've done highlights already so I don't think I need to go into much more detail.

It was wonderful to see teh GURLS again and catch up properly without all the hecticness of hen nights and weddings that have gone on all summer ;) Just being able to sit around, drink wine and talk til the Wee Hours was a treat in itself, the shopping was just an added bonus.
I do think we may have traumatised those poor fitting ladies in Bravissimo with all our yelling between cubicles, running in and out and shouting 'look at MINE - ooh can i have that one when you're done?' though :p
We really should do it all more often!

Yesterday, however, was a day of pain and misery. Flight was delayed, so there was much hanging about woefully in the airport feeling ill. However once I got home, some peppermint tea and a review of all the lovely purchases (yay for pretty bras that fit! And a SPORTS BRA, finally!) helped me feel somewhat more human.
Which was lucky cos Grik and Bridin arrived about 8ish on their way back from Donegal. Grik had intended going to see some gig in the Limelight but as I could barely move and Bridin didn't really want to go anyway, we managed to talk him out of it. I did say they could go on ahead and I'd see them when they got back in, but he was having none of that.

So instead we cracked open a bottle of bubbly (hair of the dog and all that ;p), skinned up, made popcorn, watched silly movies and talked nonsense. Dracla AD 1972 looked great, but alas I had to give in half way thro it and collapse. Tho it was 1ish by then, so I did ok!
They headed back off to Dublin again this morning and I am in work, just about managing to stay awake

Tonight, it is the turn of [livejournal.com profile] tiquetoque and [livejournal.com profile] ghostcre to come visiting. It's been a very sociable weekend all round really ;)
Anyone else wants to drop in sometime, let me know!

Also nanowrimo starts midnight tonight. I have a basic background idea but not much of an actual plot. There'll be a lot of winging it and I have no idea what will come out. Is anyone planning to post their efforts?

Either belfast international or belfast city, both are about 30mins drive away ;)

Arrr, NaNo. I got started on something and then did nothing more... I wonder if I should try or not as things stand.

Dracula AD1972 is just... fantastic. Hammer does the seventies bad tastorama.
