OMG IT HAS BEGUN!

After much procrastination this morning and wibbling about names and plots and OH NOES the terror, I have started. Chapter 1 is completed, 1450 words! I kinda know where the next chapter is going, after that, I'm adrift ;p

So, who else is mad enough to be at this and how is it going? And are any of you posting it anywhere?

I am not planning on posting it anywhere this time but that may change. Currently I am not really any further on than when I spoke to you this morning: I have an opening scene planned, and an idea of an ending, two very vague characters and no idea how to plan out what happens between the beginning and the ending :S

I had a very vague notion of how I wanted to start so I just started waffling, seemed to work ;p

Of course that's taken me most of the afternoon and I haven't done any actual work.

What are you working on?

I should know this, no doubt, if it's been in your LJ, but I have had a bad attack of rl in the past month or two and have not been following everyone else's lives (or our alternate reality) with the attention they deserve.

with almost 2000 words so far about the function of piety in dante's inferno, virgil's aeneid, homer's odyssey, aristophanes' frogs plus a nice collection of various other katabasis myths including gilgamesh, theseus, orpheus, heracles... sigh. not enough time...

What's wrimo or what am I writing on? (sorry brain not quite functioning today ;p)

If the former, www.nanowrimo.org - yearly attempt to write a 50,000 word novel in 30 days.

If the latter, the basic premise so far is the Tuatha de Danaan (irish fairy/immortals) send someone up to try and halt the roadworks threatening Tara by pretending to be an archaeologist (going for the minimum reserach angle here). OR something ;p It may end up as something entirely different ;)

Heh. Both answers were relevant! :) Sounds like fun. I might even try it if it weren't, like Maelin said, for the whole exams aspect...

AraraRARaraRArARRrARR, I haven't written anything yet :( I shall start tonight, after my MAKE-UP CONSULTATION at the Body Shop. I'm sure I shall write much better with lots of make-up on.
