Saw the new film, much fun. Made me laugh, made me cry (poor Cedric :/), made me wonder when exactly Harry started turning into Frodo...

Ron was great, again. Possibly the best thing in it - certainly out-acted harry & hermione, or rather underacted, since their over acting was reaching new heights (especially right at the end).
Not sure how much sense it would make if you hadn't read the book, a lot of it seemed very rushed and some of it would be damn freaky if you were a kid. Still, a good show, worth seeing ;)

Still haven't got to see the Corpse Bride, might try this weekend. Also, Narnia is coming and the Johnny Cash film is out soon too, yay!

Well, PoA made no sense without reading the book most of the time, except for the straightforward bits like 'help-there's-a-werewolf-chasing-us'. That's the trouble with Rowling's intricate little subplots - they're all essential to the main one. Only going to be worse in book V. :)

(OH NO Sirius is going to die. :(((((((((()

it was madly rushed. especially at the start!

also, many wtf moments (like, erm, shouldn't wormtail have been in more pain after the hand-chopping-off?!?) and what, no quidditch match? and not enough malfoy (senior or junior). also, what was with angry, grabby dumbledore, hmm? that seemed rather off.

totally agree re: ron. aw, bless, his little squishy face! he had me cackling away, especially his 'piss off...' and his reaction to the beauxbatons girls. krum was not as good as had been hoping, but the great hall entrance of the massed bulgarians was class. i note the twins have outgrown their cuteness (yes, i know, pervy underage ginger fancying - clearly wrong!). loved dancing!neville and his shiny shoes.

made mistake of attending on flu medication plus a hot toddy (in a flask, heh) so i was very susceptible to the giggles, and sitting next to johnny from work did not help - i had to hit him when he leant over and stage whispered 'gratuitous nudity!' during the bathroom scene. then we descended (again) into hysterical snickering. see also: moody asking neville to come to his room so he can 'give him something' and harry talking about the moment where 'our wands... connected'. and crouch junior, snape and the Tongue!

It'd have to be sat afternoon, as have hen night in the evening. Also may have to be home fri night/sat morning for Death Day (in which case corpse bride would be an excellent idea). Going home this evening so I'll check with Mum and see what the plan is.

RE: HEN night umm, think i might leave it as I don't know anybody but you and would probably end up in a corner blowing my nose and talking about zombies and eye infections in a fit of awkwardness.

You'd know Karen and I'm fairly sure you've met at least some of the gaggle of cousins before (possibly at funerals). But corpse bride sounds like much fun, I'll give you a ring this evening ;)
