Y'all having a good time?
I am ;) A very lazy time, filled with crap tv and lots of food. Hurrah! Haven't even come close to killing any family members, which is always a bonus.

Tho since I have Aoife (baby niece) tonight so Karen can get some sleep, this may change tomorrow. Alas, yet another baby seems to have inherited my night-owlness somehow. It's gone well so far tho. Just an hour of relentless screaming before she fell asleep ;p Due to wake up again fairly soon, so mostly I'm just killing time now.

So, um, anyone get any good books for Christmas?
I got 2 hefty looking sci-fi ones by Peter Hamilton. Never heard of him, anyone read anything by him before?

Also lovely Ecclestone!Who dvds in v. funky (or, as my family pointed out, nerdy) tardis box.

Tomorrow thesme_01 comes to visit, so I may pass the sleepless hours later thinking up salacious gossip to tell her about you all. Of course in some cases this won't take very much thinking ;)

Ah, I liked that one but took a little while to get into it. I think I also had a little trouble keeping track of which character was which, but that might have been more to do with reading bits of the thing and then leaving it for a while.

Will pick up the second book in the series when it's out in paperback.

I got the first 2, so I have much reading ahead ;) Haven't read any sci-fi in ages so looking forward to it!
