Following on from Robin of Sherwood discussions elsewhere, I had a bit of a hoke about and ...

tada!

It's a bit battered but then it is *checks* oh. Many Years old. Very many. Wow.

I think this proves something. In fact it proves several things.

1. Michael Praed was teh Hot
2. I am a hoarder
3. Despite the house looking like chaos, I DO actually know where things are thankyouverymuch
4. I may perhaps have too much time on my hands

Can't wait for the dvds now!

that might be partially true. but come, on, tall, blond and aristocratic! ok, and a bastard, and a bit thick, but.. well, i used to feel sorry for him. the sheriff was mean to him!

(depressingly, it turns out the actor died in 2003 of lung cancer - he was only 43 :( )

I think I still have a Glenn Fabry Slaine poster from Your Sinclair somewhere. I thought he was teh Hot when I was 13. (Slaine, not Glenn Fabry. I have no idea what Glenn Fabry looks like.)

Oh Slaine was teh h0t! I still the RIP Johnny Alpha poster and a couple of Dredd ones too ;)

Hm, it turns out that Glenn Fabry is not entirely unhot, although in a completely different way.

Heh yes, I think I'd prefer Slaine myself ;)

I think my brain just EXPLODED.

I had forgotten the hairy chest! How could I have forgotten the hairy chest??

I think I used to have that last pic sellotaped to one of my files for school.

I second that. How many people have bought these dvds because of you?

From: [identity profile] tyrell.livejournal.com
At least 5. I also lent them to four others, three of whom then bought their own copies.

Firefly was a bigger success story, although several of my London friends are swearing at me for making their partners say "Shiny" entirely too much. :)

Heh, I got quite a few converts to Firefly myself ;)

It is rare, in these times of crass commercialism, to see a thing of real beauty in the world.

And WHAT a big bow....

Oh yes. I used to stare at that bow for hours. And those tight tight leggings, and the swishy hair (so clean & shiny for a man living in a forest ;p) and the cheekbones and the...

You know, the Greater-Bowed Praed could be inhabited by the Spirit of the Celtic Bear and have to hibernate in group nests, all curled up and naked, just waiting to be awoken on a fine Spring morn

On a fine young morning, all in the Month of May
I went a-walking, my heart was light and gay
Into the forest, under the trees so tall
Where I found a Praed Nest, all curled up in a ball...

I just had to come and take a look! I do beleive I owned this too. Memories! Oh dear.....makes you feel just a wee bit wobbly! I am sure this must be why I took up archery :)

Woo, you actually went and did it? I know I *thought* about it, but there was, alas, nowhere that did it anywhere near me.
I don't think they were very big on teaching how to use dangerous projectiles in n.ireland in the 80s ;p

In the article on the back of the poster there was a bit about how they had to learn to shoot the longbows and the woman playing Marion put an arrow thro the side of one of the catering trucks. I was very impressed!

I wasn't allowed to do archery because I had huge great glasses and double vision in teh 80's

i quite fancy archery now - when i helped on the school trip thing to hungary a few years ago i got to shoot an old-fashioned composite bow. very badly, but that is not the point. it was fun.

hellison could learn to shoot on horseback, nomad horde style!
