Ooh, pretty maps and photos and tombs oh my!

Totally stolen from [livejournal.com profile] _unhurt_, this site - http://www.thebanmappingproject.com/ has me transfixed. Maps, photos and plans of tombs in The Valley of the Kings, even with little movies to tell you about them. The 3D one is particularly impressive

Oooh skellingtons!

That about sums it up ;p This is also appealing to the burgeoning GIS nerd in me. Why can't WE have stuff like this eh?

I mean, we could do it for... um. Copney/Beaghmore? Souterrains? Castles? Hmm. We also need More Impressive Monuments I think.

GNAH transfixion by lovely tombs led to me being Caught by Annie til now, next train home isn't til 5.45 which pretty much scuppers any chance of finishing at the stables at a reasonable hour. So pub is extremely unlikely :/
