What I did At the Weekend (since it's better than working ;p).

Friday evening was a good one, started off with a lovely quiet hack on Ziggy as the sun was going down, tho it was bloody cold. Back home got bottle of fizz in anticipation of Hofftasticness. And Wow. I won't go into details, cos I've done that already, but that was an hilariously bad film. Wouldn't have missed it for anything!

Saturday, off down home to do more clearing, resulting in finds of more Childhood Treasures, a box of old photos and the little brothers P7 story book, which caused great hilarity. My personal favourite was the Picnic story which started "We had a lovely day at the picnic. And then the sharks came." Strange child.
Also found an old watch of Dad's that I'd appropriated when at school and wore for a few years til I got bought one for my... 18th? birthday. It still works too ;) Actually I wonder where the 18th b'day watch is. Hmm.

Sat evening was Party at Stables, which I wasn't too keen on going to, because while I chat to these people most evenings, I don't really *know* them, and the one girl I do hang out with most there wasn't staying, despite me trying to convince her to stay so I'd have someone to talk to.
Of course after some cider and a few glasses of the sparkling wine that was going round, it was a different story and I was happily rambling away at anyone and everyone. The kareoke machine broke quite a bit of ice too. Ended up dancing and singing (tho avoided the microphones, for the good of all there) and rambling til about 5am, with a brief break at about 3 (apparently) to go see teh horse. Sunday was a Day Of Pain. Mixing drinks is a bad bad thing. So very ill. Did manage to get to stables by about 3.30, which was quite good going I thought, then back home to collapse with junk food and another v. bad movie, Starship Troopers 2. Alas this one wasn't even entertainingly bad, it was just crap. I don't think I even bothered watching the end of it.
Finally went to bed, tho not to sleep unfortunately, resulting in a somewhat dazed and cranky Helen today.
Still that's not so different from any other monday anyway ;p

All in all, a good weekend, and the last Unplanned one for a while too.
