Yay, am now almost awake, tho still very stiff!

FRIDAY... picked up [livejournal.com profile] thesme_01 off train and went to airport. There was much excitement and giddiness leading to several random outbursts of giggling for no reason. Got to Bristol without incidence and lovely [livejournal.com profile] littlebluefish picked us up and whisked us away to Stroud for Indian and WINE, yay ;)
Food was eated, wine was drunk, gossip was exchanged, more wine was drunk, plans for following day made (with accompanying OMG POLEDANCING panic) and yet more wine was drunk. Finally, we very sensibly decided to have an early night. Sometime around half 3 I think...

SATURDAY! Somehow we all managed to get up and out of bed on time (tho Thesme did need some assistance in the form of a cold sponge). [Bad username or site: moxy bounce @ livejournal.com] arrived and we all set off on our scenic trip to Oxford, complete with loud singing and a brief stop to admire ducks and play Pooh Sticks.
Once our objectives in Oxford had been achieved - getting new bras, cookies and [livejournal.com profile] malvino - we all piled into the car for the journey back to Stroud, during which Malvino learnt that girls really do tell each other *everything* and probably more than he ever need to know about a few things.
Having exchanged Malvino for [livejournal.com profile] leeda, we then headed off to Bristol for the poledancing, with more than a little bit of trepidation.

This was So Much Fun. Very nerve wracking - especially after the Lovely Instructor Lady (what was her name again?) started it off with a demonstration of exactly what she can do on a pole - some of which was jaw-dropping. Particularly the upsidedown spinny stuff. Once we'd had a drink and recovered our wits, she set about showing us how do do the easier moves and letting us all have turns, amid much giggling and OMG I can't do THAT, fallings over and so on.
Once done, she left us on our own for a bit to just mess around and play Pole Dancers, which was a lot of fun (the vodka was taking effect now I think).
Then SOME PEOPLE thought it would be fun to get her to demonstrate a lap dance for us. Which I thought would be fun to see too, til it turned out I was the one getting the dance. The Full Contact dance.
Now THAT was an experience. WHERE DO YOU LOOK?? Seriously? Particularly when everywhere else you try to look you see someone sniggering evilly at you!
Total embarrasment aside, the dance itself was... very impressive. She's an incredibly flexible girl!
but then she did it AGAIN, helpfully demonstrating all the things shes NOT allowed to do with customers, eg "we have to have one foot on the ground at all times, so I can put one leg up here *fling*, but not both like this *fling and thrust*".
The rest of the ladies seem to be thorougly enjoying the whole spectacle. Cowbags.

And we had to go! back to stroud where we met some of the lads in tescos with a trolley overflowing with alcohol, which we then added more to (well you can never have too much!) and headed back to the house, for the PARTYING.

Highlights included foot massages, attractive box hats, [livejournal.com profile] leeda's very strange lj F-list, lots of alcohol, some more alcohol, the A-Team (I pity da fool that messes wit MY momma) and... pretty much everything ;)

Also PRESENTS including CIDER (the special Mind Wiping variety too, so if I forget anything here, blame that), chocolate, a big box of home-made wookie cookies and the totally inspired colouring book and pencils. Which may not *technically* have been for me, but provided so much entertainment that I have claimed it. I may display some of the finer attempts later.

Most of all tho, it was of course the people that made it. I had a fabulous weekend and I have a feeling some of the aching stomach muscleness is just as much to do with the amount of laughing as it was the pole dancing ;)

So there you have it! I have aches and pains all over, several mystery bruises and had an incredible time. Thank you all.
Especially [livejournal.com profile] littlebluefish for throwing me a party, letting me invite everyone I wanted, finding the pole dancing, driving us about everywhere (and ali, for driving home from dancing!), letting us invade and occupy her house for the weekend and for being an all round STAR *smooches*

And now, I have to get on a horse. Help...
