Survived riding lesson yesterday! In fact my legs weren't too bad at all, until the no-stirrup bit, and that always leads to pain anyway. Of course all the rest of it - the grooming, tacking up and mucking out was AGONY because it's all arms, whereas riding is mostly legs. And stomach, which was hurting so much by the time it was all done I could barely move ;p

Today, however, the legs have joined in the general chorus of stiffened woe-muscles. Yay.

I did still manage somehow to get up in time for the train this morning, trekked to the station in the POURING rain only to remember when I got there they're on bloody strike. So had to trek BACK to house to get car then sit dripping slowly in traffic jams full of all the other people who had to drive to work too.
Just about made it here in time, and now I can't remember what it is I'm supposed to be doing today and am greatly lacking in the motivation to find out. I think I may have to organise people for training tomorrow.
Woe.

So, how is your day going?

I impulse bought a sofa on Sunday, though it is *badly* needed. Sorry to hear of your continuing woes with leaky things :(

'you can use teh cats to get rid of the worst of it'
Yesss... they've already walked over the dry dust with wet paws meaning that dirt is now smeared over the whole house and I can no longer just wipe it off. Bless them.

It leaked before but has been fixed and non-leaky for some time now (well over a year in fact). I have no idea what triggered the new leakage, nor why it chose to do it while I was away. Also my plumber guy who was Nice and didn't charge me a billion pounds just to show up has moved to Australia and now I have to find a new one.
I am however now quite taken with the idea of new bathroom. Which is possibly cheaper than the idea of a new kitchen that occurred when the sink broke last week ;p

OOh new sofa. Need one of those too! Well. Not 'need' as such...

New bathrooms are the devils work. We had ours done two years ago. It took over a month, they finsihed Christmas Eve. The bath was fitted wonky so there are frequant tidal waves. It was dirty and horrid while it was being done. Oh and the Bloke collapsed with an impacted, infected gallstone in bileduct thing and speant two weeks in hospital while it was happening. And it went over budget. And I was so worried about the bloke I didn't get it signed off properly, just paid them to go away.

I'd move house rather then get it done.

This is all part of my Worry over finding a new plumber. I had a lovely plumber guy who turned up a day EARLY to do the work, got all the stuff, tiled around the new shower THEN painted all the other tiles in the bathroom to match, stayed til 8pm waiting for the tile paint to dry.

Also called round late one evening to fix last horrendous leak-onto-plugs problem and only charged me £20 for it.

But he has GONE to bloody Australia and I need a new one but I am scared i will get a Dodgy One.
