Yay, council have finally delivered Garden Waste Bins! And the sun has come out which means... why am I in here?

What I have to contend with...

Yes, it's a bit neglected. Two summers ago, a friend and I spent a lot of time making it very lovely, digging out beds and planting and so on, but last year, I just didn't have time and it kinda got away from me. Hopefully this year I can reclaim it again ;)

This was the herb patch. The mint is thriving at any rate. There are also chives, thyme and... um other stuff in there ;p

The big gay tree! Which isn't very big, it's a bit too exposed there, but it survived the winter, which is good a relief.

This is a flowerbed, honest :p There are roses, look!

Um. The patio. That's a flower bed too (no, really), with what's left of daffodils & tulips.

But tonight, I made a Start! See, it IS a flowerbed, kinda. Needs more soil tho, have planted some random mixed seeds to fill it out, will see how that goes.

Teh Logue came down with his shovel and very kindly dug out a new bed, for the new plants - fennel, lungwort (sp?), self-heal and wild strawberry.

Also scattered some random seeds there, some night-scented stock along with a 'mixed wildflowers' packet. It'll be interesting to see what will come up...

Next, sort out the other herb bed and hope it stays dry enough to get the grass cut again. And dig out the ragwort.

Well, the almost constant rain helps a lot ;p It does all look very green tho doesn't it? Particularly the weeds. The grass is doing much better than I expected tho, so yay ;)
